Can you be Creative and Organized at the same time?

    March 19, 2009 /

Does being organized cancel out your ability to be creative?I would get a mental block or at least a feeling of sterility if I was faced with too much discipline and perfection.

Elizabeth Fritzl Wrote a Diary during her Captivity

    March 16, 2009 /

It is now well known that Elizabeth Fritzl wrote a diary during her captivity. In the depth of her despair she may have found a small measure of solace in creativity.  No doubt this diary will attract a lot of interest in the media. It has been said that she used it to write up important events in her life such as the births of her children as well as the death of her little son. We don’t know if she included any of her personal feelings or not. She may have hidden the diary away terrified that her father would discover it. She was probably too frightened to write…

    March 11, 2009 /

My grandfather was one of the kindest people I have ever known.  You could see kindness in the crinkling around his eyes and in the sadness of his smile. He was very unassuming and he had great gentility of spirit. Maybe kindness is a special gene that only some people are blessed with. Not everyone, mind you because kindness per se – as a personality feature – is hard to find. How do you explain kindness?  It’s strangely hard to describe. And no, it isn’t merely philanthropy.  Some philanthropists can be miserable buzzards who only give in order to enhance the image of their corporations. No, kindness is something else. …

    March 10, 2009 /

When he stands up on his hind legs and rests his paws on the front gate he reaches a height of almost 7 feet. He reminds me of the Hans Christian Anderson fairy tale of the dog with eyes as big as saucers!

Who Started the Myth that Fish can’t Feel?

    March 5, 2009 /

Who started the myth that fish can’t feel? It’s one of the cruellest myths yet invented by man.  And we swallow it hook line and sinker!  It has prevailed for so long simply because we want it to. But it is a myth and it’s quite wrong. Just because a fish is cold-blooded it doesn’t mean that it can’t feel. Fish are cold- blooded because they have had to adapt to the temperature of the water in which they live. Of course fish can feel. They have brains and well-developed nervous systems.  They have blood like all other animals.  There are even some fish that scream when you hook them…
