    School Bullying – A Child’s Worst Nightmare

    November 28, 2008 /

Schools should be a haven of safety for children; not a hunting ground for school bullies. But sadly no school can guarantee safety from bullying. Every year when schools start, you see mothers taking on strain. Some of them rather tearfully but they try to hide it from their youngsters. Anyone looking on would try to reassure these mothers.  “Don’t worry.  School is the best part of your life!”  How often we heard this as children!  But is it really true?  Is school really the best time of  your life?  Ask any child and you will probably get a grimace and an out and out denial. School is not the…

    Easy Creamed Spinach Recipe

    November 19, 2008 /

Here is the easy creamed spinach recipe I promised you.  It tastes even better when you use fresh spinach picked from your own garden.  And don’t forget – organic is best. I just read about someone asking about the pro’s and cons of irradiated spinach to kill bugs and make it last longer.  Well I really wouldn’t know about that. There are many opinions about it and I think the jury is still out on that.  But whatever the outcome I personally prefer the fresh organic spinach from my garden. It should of course be washed well. So here is my recipe: EASY CREAMED SPINACH 3 Tablespoons butter 1 small…

Grow Leafy Green Spinach in your Home Garden

    November 18, 2008 /

Some gardeners attack their spinach plants with kitchen knives and cut down the entire plant. This is unnecessarily aggressive. It’s a total waste too because you lose the whole plant with one picking.

The Lion and Mouse Personality Test

    November 17, 2008 /

Lion or mouse? Which one describes you best? If you want to know if you have the personality of a lion or a mouse there’s an easy way to find out. That is, if you didn’t  know already! Simply take a critical look at your handwriting. But don’t imagine that being a lion is any better than being a mouse.  Neither of these categories is superior – just different.  Here’s why: A lion is a leader, noble, arrogant, and demanding. He revels in the limelight and takes admiration and all that goes with it for granted – but he is also obstinate and indifferent to the plight of others.  Some…

How to Find your Personality Type

    November 16, 2008 /

If you want to find your personality type there are several tests that will help you to do this. Personality typing simply means classifying people according to their personalities. As such it has become an important aspect of many psychological tests.  It’s used widely in companies and organizations that rely on personality assessments for the recruitment of their staff. The most famous and well-known personality types of all are undoubtedly the introvert and extrovert categories of personality invented by Jung. They are such accepted descriptions of personality today that most personality tests have incorporated them into their systems in one way or another. Just think of the MBTI personality test…

    Test your Personality with Handwriting

    November 12, 2008 /

There are so many personality tests and quizzes to choose from that it can be rather confusing. Clearly you would want to find a reliable personality test but these are often flawed from the start because you have to depend on the answers of the person who is being tested. And who of us is impartial when it comes to giving information about ourselves? If, on applying for a job, you were given a questionnaire asking about your degree of honesty, intelligence or energy how would you fill it in? Exactly!  So would I. That is why a handwriting test is so useful. You simply can’t bluff when it comes…
